Welcome to Superior Equine Health and Nutrition!
At Superior Equine Health and Nutrition we take a comprehensive, science-based approach to equine wellness management and consider all aspects of equine care to maximize health! We offer practical advice for you and your horses, working with products that are available to you in your area. We try to save you time and money wherever we can and give you peace of mind that you are feeding only what is needed for horses and help you care for horses.
Hay sampling, analysis and pasture assessments provide the core sources of information required for balanced feeding programs. We compare the analysis and assessments with horse's requirements and will make you aware of any excesses and deficiencies based on the NRC's Nutrient Requirements of Horses. We will then make recommendations for supplements, concentrates and/or grains to find the perfect balance of nutrients needed without the extras, meeting minimum and optimal amounts. We also consider health related conditions, and will provide recommendations for ideal management and diet.

Jean has been an avid and active horse enthusiast for as long as she can remember. She has owned various breeds of horses and participated in different disciplines. She understands that not all horses are the same and sometimes you have to be creative and think outside the box!
Drawing on her extensive background and experience in chemistry, biology and water, soil and plant analysis, Jean went on to complete the Equine Science Program, with Distinction from the University of Guelph. She excelled in subjects of Equine Health and Disease, Nutrition, Physiology, Reproduction, Anatomy, Management of the Equine Environment and studies in Advanced Health Through Nutrition. She is a life-long learner and will continue to pursue excellence in knowledge by taking more equine-related courses.
